New Audi TT: first details

The new generation Audi TT will be quite different from the current model and get another look.This was told by the chief designer Wolfgang Egger, Audi, said the publication Car and Driver. 

This - not the new Audi TT, and the version of RS plus the current generation model, shown last year in Geneva. This car develops 360 hp, and the new Audi TT promises to be even more powerful - up to 400 hp

According to Egger, the company took into account the critical customer feedback that the Audi too similar to each other. Although the revolutionary changes in design can be expected, Audi TT still get a more angular appearance, as well as other lights and lamps which will be fully LED. 
At the heart of the new generation Audi TT will be based modular platform MQB. As before, the car will be available in both front-and all-wheel drive version. The engine range will be four-and five-cylinder engines, the latter will have a special role. Power units is unknown, however, according to the publication, the strongest modification of Audi TT RS will be capable of delivering up to 400 horsepower. 
It is expected that the new Audi TT debut in 2014. While the price of the car is still not known, it is safe to say that the Audi TT will be more prestigious and more expensive. Thus, experts from Ingolstadt to fill the gap related to failure to release mid-engine car Audi R4.

Audi refused R8 e-tron
