В 2015 году к ним прибавится родственное купе А5, а в 2016-м кабриолет А5 и совершенно новый вариант кузова для всей этой семейки: некая модель Audi A4 Vario. У неё будет увеличенная против остальных машин A4 колёсная база и отменный простор для пассажиров и багажа. Вероятно, Ингольштадт намерен противопоставить A4 Vario хэтчбеку BMW 3 GT.

Линейка моторов A4 откроется агрегатом 1.4 TFSI (122 и 180 л.с.) и продолжится двухлитровым двигателем (225 и 286 л.с.). А вот «четвёрка» 1.8 из гаммы выпадет. Будут и ещё перемены: 286-сильный четырёхцилиндровый ДВС заменит в линейке обычных А4 V-образную «шестёрку» на три литра. Также предполагается присутствие трёх вариантов двухлитрового дизеля (122, 150 и 184 л.с.) и версия V6 TDI 3.0 (218 и 272 л.с.).
